Cook, Create & Celebrate Birthday Experience
Nourish & Flourish (birthday) parties are a joyful, hands-on way to celebrate with food, creativity, and fun! Perfect for kids, teens, or even adults, each party is designed around the birthday person’s favorite flavors and style. Guests can decorate cakes or cupcakes with colorful toppings and designs, build their own edible creations, or even cook the birthday person’s favorite recipe together as a special shared experience.
Other fun options include themed cooking challenges, DIY pizza or taco bars, dumpling-making parties, cookie decorating stations, or “chopped-style” mystery ingredient games for older kids and teens. Every celebration is interactive, memorable, and completely customized—bringing friends together in the kitchen to cook, laugh, and celebrate in the most delicious way possible.
Cook & Connect Family Nights
Nourish & Flourish family cooking events are warm, hands-on experiences designed to bring families together in the kitchen through food, connection, and creativity. Each session invites children, parents, and caregivers to cook side-by-side, learning simple, delicious recipes while building confidence and lifelong kitchen skills.
At the heart of these experiences is the practice of mindful eating—slowing down, appreciating ingredients, and understanding where food comes from. These gatherings encourage healthy habits while also strengthening the connection between family and food, turning everyday meals into meaningful shared moments.
From preparing comforting favorites to exploring new flavors together, each class is interactive, engaging, and joyful. Families leave not only with a homemade meal, but with new skills, deeper connection, and lasting memories around the table.
How It Works
Select from a curated menu of class themes or design a fully custom experience tailored to your group. All planning, ingredient sourcing, and grocery shopping are handled in advance to ensure a seamless experience. Classes are hosted in your home or chosen location, where participants engage in a hands-on, interactive cooking session focused on learning, creativity, and connection through food. At the conclusion of each class, the kitchen is left clean and exactly as it was found—only with the added memory of a shared culinary experience.

Ayyám-i-Há Party! All are Welcome!
Dear friends and neighbors, please join the Menlo Park Bahai Community in celebrating Ayyám-i-Há with unity, spiritual words and devotions, and a pizza dance party!
What does Ayyám-i-Há mean?
Ayyam-i-Ha has been translated into English as “Intercalary Days” which literally means that they are days inserted into the Baha'i calendar. Unlike the majority of Baha’i holy days that either celebrate joyous historical events or commemorate sorrowful dates of significance, Ayyam-i-Ha is a festival of the attributes of generosity, love, compassion, of praising God and friendship. It stands in contrast to the Fast, a time of abstinence and inner contemplation and transformation, following directly afterwards.
How is Ayyám-i-Há celebrated?
Baha’u’llah has reduced rituals and ceremonies to a minimum in the Baha’i Faith and so everyone celebrates Ayyam-i-Ha differently. Many communities and families share meals together and some exchange gifts. Ayyam-i-Ha celebrations can be elaborate and complex or they can be humble and simple. The beauty of these days is that little is required to make good cheer when you are in the company of friends and surrounded by an atmosphere of love.
